About the event
Erwin Chemerinsky is a legal scholar, educator, and constitutional law expert. Dean of UC
Berkeley School of Law since 2017 and founding dean of UC Irvine School of Law, he has
authored over 20 books and 200 law review articles on constitutional law, federal jurisdiction,
and civil liberties. A fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, he is a prominent
appellate advocate, commentator, and one of the most influential figures in U.S. legal education.
